"Well Coach, this is your inagural game in the CIBBL Premier League, and many have questioned the legitimacy of The Mean Machine’s rise to the Premier League.  Within your own "family" of teams many thought the Storm of Mjolnir, a more experienced team with much more star power than the Mean Machine, was the logical choice to promote up.

"I think I’ve heard the same questioning and logic from every sports caster since the end of Season 2.  ‘Too young’, ‘Not enough hitting power’, ‘Weak strength’, ‘Weak throwing game’, blah, blah, blah....

"The bottom line is The Storm of Mjolnir are a fantastic team that are defenitly worth the acclaim they have been getting lately.  Just look at their performance in the Spike! Magazine Tournament.  I think that tells their story perfectly.  As for the Mean Machine, I guess our General Manager had another idea in mind when he sent us up to the Premier League.  All I can say is that maybe the match ups for the Machine and the Storm are best the way they have been layed out.

"As for the Machine, we have a ton of new ‘recruits’ from the new prison systems that have signed on for our farm system, and we already have a few promising recruits that we are just waiting for the right time to bring them up to the big leagues.

"Well Coach, what about your upcoming game with Roadkill?  They are a much more seasoned opponent and have a lot of weapons in their arsonal that many critics would say the Machine has no answer for.

"No response."

"Come on Coach, your in the big leagues now, you gotta let your fans out there know you have something up your sleeve.

"Fine.  Roadkill does have many edges up on us.  We are not as fast.  We can’t score at will.  And we can’t capitalize on backfield mistakes as good as they can.  But we are humans.  We look to the team, not the individual.  Everyone plays their part, everyone pulls their weight, and in the end we hope for the best.  We’re out here to have some fun, breath some fresh air outside the ‘friendly’ confines of the Folsom County Pen, and maybe win a few games along the way.

"Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a bunch of convicts to motivate before their first game in the Premier League.
