*****

What a slug fest! The Rage got the kickoff and the turtle took a beating by the lizards. I don’t think I ever got the ball across the line of scrimmage. The ball went back and forth for the last couple of turns in the half, but no score. My guys spent a lot of time lying around on the pitch. The Deathroller was mostly useless. It kept pushing. It did finally manage to pow and got its first casualty.

The chumps got the ball the second half, but the dwarf line held firm with a absurd number of pushes by the lizards. There were several lizards KO’d in the turns that followed. It looked like the dwarfs may run over the lizards to get the ball and score when the skinks fired up their passing game. The dwarfs did not want to be outdone, so Balin completed a long pass in turn seven. In the eighth the lizards attempted a long bomb that was inaccurate and then failed to catch the bounce. Balin, still in the area, to everyone’s amazement, completed a long bomb after picking up the ball and making an accurate pass from a tackle zone. My highly agile blitzer, Kili, was able to make two go-for-its to squeeze out a 1-0 victory in the final seconds of the game.

This was a very fun game with a lot of twists and a lot of fists and tails flying. Thanks Jason.
