Despite the dominance displayed in that first drive the Storm did not do any real damage.  Coach Thistle’s antics lit a fire in the elven team.  They turned the tables on the Norsemen and put on a show of strength that kept the Storm’s apothicary and training staff busy for the rest of the half and most of the second half.  The second half came to an end as Ace’s star Blitzer "Split" failed to catch a beautiful pass that would have tied the game.  This play would come back to haunt the elves. The remaining second in the second half marked by a 2-2 tie appeared to be sending the game into overtime until the norse runner Sven Quique miraculously burst out of a heap of elves and stood in the endzone as time expired to propel the norse to the Spike finals. It is rumored that the Storm plan to move to the premier league after this tournament.  Since it appears that the norsemen are running to the safety of the premier league the Aces will have to exact revenge on their farm team when they get their legs under them. Coach Thistle tips his hat to the norse for a well played game.  NOW GO BATHE YOURSELVES!!!

The hurting didn’t come to the Aces until late in the first half.  Machine’s Samson apparently had grown tired of watching lowly elfven lineman #15 steal the spotlight from the Machines top prospect by putting a hit on Torres that sent him to the lockerroom for the rest of the game and throwing a pass for a touchdown.  As is typical of convicts Samson put a low blow on #15 and sent him to the morgue.  The after match autopsy shows that the killing blow was inflicted by a prison shank but the inept referees claim they never saw it.  The commissioners office is looking into allegations that the referees and wandering apothicary hired by the Aces are on the penitentiary’s payroll.  As always the game was well played by gensix4 but this time the win goes to the good guys and the Aces keep their unbeaten streak alive.

Treasury contains: 20,000 New Team Value: 1,420,000     Final Treasury: 20,000 The offense was firing on all cylinders.  In contrast the Knights couldn’t get their machine started.  It seemed that the Knightes didn’t want to throw blocks, but when they did they made the most of it tallying 3 casualties.  To please the crowd Bullets threw a token pass to score the first TD but was not needed for the remainder of the game.  After Big Slick’s poor showing last game he seemed out to prove himself.  He scored a TD to put the Aces up 2-0.  Immediately in the second half the Aces were rearing to go and Blitzed the flat footed Knights.  Coach Thistle was worried the the Aces had gotten too overzealous by sending 5 elves into the human backfield.  On the Knights turn they quickly vacated their side of the pitch and got the ball within scoring range.  Eager to show his newfound power Cowboy knocked the ball loose to give Big Slick yet another chance to redeem himself for his mistakes last game.  Slick scooped up the loose ball and threw a beautiful long bomb pass to one the awaiting arms of Aerandir "Hooks" Oronr?.  Hooks put the game out of reach at 3-0.  Valandil "Ducks" Telr?nya showed great promise as he tacked on the 4th TD which was his second for the game.  Coach Thistle hopes that he can ride this high flying offensive attack into the playoffs.  As a side note Coach Thistle wishes better luck to the Knight’s coach.

New acquisition for the Aces, F?an?ro "Big Slick" Elendil, made a costly mistake after the Aces second score.  He had the Dwarven runner lined up for a bit of crowd surfing but got distacted by some fair elven fans and tripped over his own feet.  Coach Thistle was quoted to say "I’d expect that kind of play from the Pals with their deformed legs but not an elf.  Big Slick will be putting in extra work this week in practices for sure".  The Aces had their chances though.  On the last play of the game Bullets was unable to pick up the ball.  This is uncharacteristic for what will surely be the league’s top passer.  The game ended in a tie which was not what the Aces wanted but they have vowed that they will do better next time.  After being the only elf to be touched up by the Dwarves Cowboy stated he will be hitting the weight room.

The Aces response was to this vile act was to score two unanswered points.  The Red Wings would never recover from the 1-2 defacit.

Winnings: 60,000   Treasury Spent on Inducements: 0 Player (1) CP:4 Player (8) CP:1 TD:1 Player (9) CA:1 * Player (9) recieved injury: Badly Hurt Player (10) MVP:1 * Player (10) recieved injury: Badly Hurt Player (11) CA:1 Player (13) CA:1 Player (14) CP:1 Player (15) TD:1 Spiraling Expenses: 0     Team Value: 1,000,000 Fan Factor went up to 2 Treasury contains: 60,000 As the sun set over the pitch the Aces could sence that the fans were getting restless.  Coach Thistle attributes this to the presence of Vampires at the stadium.  Those unwashed restless fans got so agitated that they rushed the pitch before the game could even start.  Uninteligent as most blood bowl fans tend to be they attacked the High Elves rather than the vampire threat.  This put the Aces in a huge hole from the beginning.  The first half ended in a 2-0 lead for the Vampire team.  During halftime a not so poised coach Thistle gave quite a pep talk and the Aces set out to prove that they were the better team (which they are just ask them).  Yet again another lowly fan decided that the best way to gain the favor of a vamp was to sabotige the Aces.  He threw a rock to open up the second half and stunned the pivotal lineman for the Aces comeback half.  A win was not in the future for the Aces but they were able to dominate the second half and pull out a tie.  Falin "Bullets" M’or showed his skills at throwing the ball with 4 complete passes.  He could become a pivotal part of the high flying Aces offensive attack.
