And nothing to interesting happened. The second half is where those 34,000 fans got what they paid for. I was almost able to pull a tie on three separate occasions… the first was when my 1 turning catcher failed a leap (even after a reroll) and casualties herself on the ground… the second was when she got stunned by a pitch invasion… the third was when one of the storms players needed to make a few dodge rolls with negative modifiers. Such are dice but none the less it was a really fun game, thanks to the team?s apoth and an extra apoth the sisters were able to stay on the pitch for most of the match… I think I will count this as a personal victory for not having my elf head handed to me on a silver platter after facing the storm. After another game or two, I might call out the storm for a rematch =)

The elves did what they needed to do, stay away from the lizards and keep the ball moving.  It started out raining, but after a kickoff or two it subsided and the sun cam out for good weather making ball handeling easier. With all the dodging the elves did (i love that 1 in 36 chance of failing a 2+ rerollable) they were able to limit the lizards to 4 casualties for the game… the 3 apothecaries (of which I used all 3) helped to keep people on the pitch. Maybe ill go premier soon… I think I need one more line elf and a few more skills before I take the sisters to the slaughter house.... that or wait untill more people get teams up to 2 mill +

Lots of elves tripping over themselves.  But the bodies were in important spaces that denied starbuck blitzes. Had a favorable kick off results that most likely kept the starbucks from scoring a second time… and one blitz that ended up becoming a melee fight half way up the starbucks pitch… elves lost that battle, but they won the war. I still hate spiraling expenses… but have enough sense to wait to ring the frail elves up to premier.

For the second half, the dice gods helped the Sisters of the Twilight out a bit… some good rolls, some bad rolls = average.  They seamed content with the sisters of nuffels dice.  Again, thrown around A LOT.  But I was able to run in 2 TD’s with the catcher, and score with the wardancer. The treeman actually did something this game… he was able to harm the Merc hired by Nuffel.  And advanced as far as I have ever seen him go into the other side of the pitch, a whole 4 squares. Spiraling expenses suck.

I had to use my apothecary on the Khanz first turn of this game? but that just wasn?t enough for the Khanz, they were out for blood this game.  And they got it, thanks to the apothecary only ONE player got killed this game (it would have been 2 thanks to a surfing), but add to that the nigler and the fact that the Khanz SURFED a few elves without ever being surfed.  And you have a bad game. There was also a very ill won turn over that very well could have made it a win for the sisters? it was like pouring salt on a wound. But even with the Khanz dice, and their surfing? the sisters were able to pull a tie, at a big price, but a tie none the less.

Being downs a catcher and 5 line elves at the half didn’t do much for moral either. Hopefully, they learned their lesson the first time.  And will be a little more cautious in the next game.
